Transport

Arranging your own transport

If you make an appointment at the emergency out-of-hours GP service, you will need to arrange your own transport.

A GP will sometimes be able to come to your home,
but only if you are medically unable to come to the emergency out-of-hours GP service yourself.

Out-of-hours GP service cars

If a GP comes to your home,
they will do so using a special car.

This car will be driven by someone who has received additional training and
who is, for example, able to administer first aid and CPR.
They will be able to help the GP if that turns out to be necessary.
