Privacy
In order to provide you with the best possible service, we keep
medical data and data on how we can contact you.
We do this in accordance with the Dutch Medical Treatment Contracts Act (Wet op de geneeskundige behandelingsovereenkomst, WGBO) and the General Data Protection Regulation (Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming).
Only our GPs and assistants can view this data.
They do so using a special pass
and a login code that no one else knows.
Our privacy statement explains how we handle your data securely.
Secure connection
If you have been in contact with the emergency out-of-hours GP service,
we will send a message to your own GP, via a secure connection.
In this way your GP will be kept up-to-date.
Accessing your medical data
We will be able to provide you with a better service if we have access to your medical records.
You can arrange this by contacting your GP or via the website www.volgjezorg.nl.
You can give your own GP permission to share key medical data with us.
The information could, for example, relate to allergies, major illnesses you have experienced, or your last appointments with your own GP.
What happens if you have not yet given permission?
If you do not give the necessary permission, the GP at the emergency out-of-hours service will not be able to view your medical records.
They will not be able to do so even if you give your permission when you are with us.
You should therefore give your permission in advance via www.volgjezorg.nl.
There you will find clear instructions on what you have to do.
Recording telephone calls
We record all telephone calls we receive.
It goes without saying that those recorded conversations are kept strictly confidential.
For example, GPs and assistants are not allowed to talk about them with family or people they know.
We can, however, listen to conversations in the event of complaints or mistakes, or for training purposes.
You can also listen to recordings of conversations we had with you if you wish to make a complaint.
To do this you first need to send an email to klachtenhuisartsenpost@neohuisartsenzorg.nl.
Cameras
In the waiting rooms
Cameras have been installed in our waiting rooms.
We record live images for security purposes.
We do not normally keep these recordings for longer than 4 weeks.
However, we will keep the footage for longer if there has been a serious incident.
The recording will then be kept until the issue has been completely resolved.
At the reception desk in Nijmegen
The cameras at the reception desk in Nijmegen act as a kind of mirror.
The images are not recorded or kept.
Your rights
Three universal rights are regulated by the General Data Protection Regulation (Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming):
- Right of acces
This means you are allowed to view your data.
If you wish to do so,
you should send an email to info@neohuisartsenzorg.nl and mention 'Access to medical records' in the subject line. - Right to rectification or erasure
If some of your details are incorrect,
you can ask us to correct or delete them.
It is not always possible for us to comply with this request,
for example because doing so would affect other people's privacy. - Right to data portability
This means you are entitled to receive the personal data you have provided to us.
We have a process in place to do this which is the same for everyone.
GP file
All healthcare providers in the Netherlands are required to record whether you consent to other healthcare providers viewing your medical data.
What happens if you have not yet given permission?
In that case our GPs will not be able to view your most important medical data in the evening, at night or during the weekend.
You can give your permission via the website www.volgjezorg.nl using your DigiD.
